Privacy
What we collect
If you use the enquiry form, we collect the name, email address, organisation and message you submit. We collect nothing else about you through this website beyond standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
Why we hold it
Enquiry details are held so that we can respond to you, carry out a conflict check, and keep a record of matters the firm has been approached about. That record is necessary to avoid acting against a party who has previously approached us in confidence.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained only as long as needed for conflict checking. Where an engagement follows, records are retained in line with the firm's professional obligations for the retention of client files.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or trade personal information. Information is shared with third parties only where necessary to provide the service — for example, our hosting and email providers, or counsel instructed in another jurisdiction on your matter with your knowledge.
Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to retain it. Write to enquiries@jiplaw.com.
Cookies
This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Pages that embed a Google Maps frame will cause Google to set its own cookies when that frame loads; that is governed by Google's privacy policy rather than ours. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request as a normal web request.
